Proper Service
Did you know no matter what restaurant you the proper way to serve is to serve food from the left and clear from the right, and beverages you serve them from the right?
Good Or Bad Service?
My opinion the employee-customer relations is the key to success. Alway greet your customers with a smile. If the dining experience is unpleasant but the food is good are you unlikely to return?
Nasty Customer
Last week, a customer comes into the restaurant where I work at CC's Fish Camp part time and from the moment I greeted him he had a bad attitude. Asked him politely what he wanted to have to drink, he replied " I'll have a Miller Lite draft beer ". I said " ok" and proceeded to get his beer. When I came back to the table and finished taking his order which was a skirt steak entree well done, bake potato and a salad. Meanwhile a party of two was sat in my section and I greeted them. They knew what they wanted and ready to order their drinks and food all at the same time. They ordered sandwiches and fries. I put the single guy order in first and then the couples order in next. Seven minutes later the couples order was ready and I served them their meal. The single guy noticed and walked up to me and asked me in a nasty tone "why didn't I get my order first". I replied "your entree was not ready yet, because your steak needed more time to cook". Some people are so impatient.

What to tip your server?
Most restaurant servers get 15% of the bill (excl. tax) for adequate service; 20% for very good service; no less than 10% for poor service. It all depends how good of service you give, in some cases servers can make 20% to 30%, also to mention the type of restaurant and how good of a mood the people at your table are, plays a major part too in how much the tip should be.

wheres my tip
a friend of mine works a moon lite diner in fort lauderdale he tells me so many stories how people some times don't leave a tip, but there was one time the customer didn't leave enough money for the check and the tip. The check was for $24 and they left $17 he thinks they just miscalulated and the manager told him he had to eat it. He told him they didn't steal from him they are stealing from the business and he's not even getting a tip. http://www.moonlitediner.com

seasonal servers
This is the time of the year when those seasonal servers come from the northern states to south florida to cash in and make top dollar from the casual restaurants on the beaches to the high end ones like the new Morton Steak house located on Broward Blvd. & US 1 in Fort lauderdale, FL
