wheres my tip

a friend of mine works a moon lite diner in fort lauderdale he tells me so many stories how people some times don't leave a tip, but there was one time the customer didn't leave enough money for the check and the tip. The check was for $24 and they left $17 he thinks they just miscalulated and the manager told him he had to eat it.
